At Matrix, we understand that your website design and functionality is vital. It’s the first impression your business makes online, and we’re here to ensure it’s a good one. Whether you’re considering a completely new website or simply looking to revamp your existing, this website design FAQs page can answer all your questions about our website design process. Read on to find out how our expert team can help bring your vision to life with a website that’s not only visually stunning but also designed to perform.
How does your website design service work?
Our website design process typically involves the following key stages: discovery and planning, concepts/design, revisions, development, testing, training and site launch. We work closely with you throughout each stage to ensure the final product meets your expectations.
How much does a new website cost?
The most common question we get asked but also the hardest to answer! The final cost of a website depends on a lot of factors; the size (in terms of pages), the functionality it needs to have and what features you want to include. If you’d like a cost for your specific project, you can contact us for a no-obligation website design quote.
Are your websites designed and built in-house?
Yes. From concept to design, build and launch, everything is done by our in-house website design team at our Plymouth office. You’ll be dealing directly with the team working on your website, so there’s no worry about things being lost or miscommunicated because it has to be passed to a third party.
Can I update my website once it’s finished?
Absolutely. Our bespoke Matrix drag-and-drop creator lets you add and change webpage content easily. You can update information, change images, add pages, make a blog post, or upload files anytime you need.
I need a specific type of website. What types of website design do you offer?
Our website design team can build e-commerce websites, booking websites, “standard” showcase websites...whatever you need!
Do I need to provide copy and images for my new website?
We can provide copy and images and even utilise videos and animations to bring your website to life or we are happy to use content provided by you.
Can I be involved in the design process?
Yes of course or we are happy for you to leave it up to us! We create visuals that allow you to see and approve the design before we move on to development. This ensures that you’re completely happy with the look and feel before any development work begins.
Do I need to organise my own website hosting?
You can arrange your own website hosting if you prefer, although we offer a premium level website hosting service using high-performance servers if you want us to handle the hosting after launch. This ensures your website is fast, secure and reliable.
Will my website be optimized for search engines?
Yes, we incorporate SEO (search engine optimisation) best practices during the design and development process to ensure your site is optimized for search engines. This includes optimizing page load speed, meta data, on-page copy structure, and more, to ensure that your website is set up to perform as well as possible in search engine results before launch. Ongoing work to improve your ranking for specific search terms or to implement a new strategy in the face of changing search engine algorithms involves a combination of on-page SEO (like keyword optimization), content creation and regular updates. We offer SEO ongoing services to help boost your site’s visibility.
